Menotomy – Road to Revolution

Our new exhibition in the room leading into the Jason Russell House offers greater context to the events of April 19, 1775. It features never before seen objects and rarely told stories which illustrate how residents of the second precinct of Cambridge – a small village called “Menotomy” dealt with unprecedented events.

We hope to have a more official opening in fall of 2021 but in the meantime enjoy a few photographs and two special gallery talks which go in more depth on some key areas of the exhibition.

Gallery talk – Director Sara Lundberg interviews historian Robert A. Gross who as consulting scholar for the exhibition
Gallery talk 2 – Director Sara Lundberg interviews Doreen Stevens and Doris Birmingham who were a vital part of our exhibition team.
